What We Believe
The best way to learn music is with one-on-one, private instruction. Each lesson  individually tailored for the way the student learns best, taking into account age, experience, personality, and learning style. We believe   that a college education   makes for a better teacher, as  the instructor can draw not only musical   pedagogy but also from   other fields such as psychology and sociology.

What we are looking for  in   teachers
  • College Education  - music degree   or education degree preferred.
  • Experience Teaching -   at least one year of previous  teaching experience.
  • Personality - An upbeat personality that makes lessons fun and exciting for the student.
  • A Love of Kids - Absolutely must love children of all ages.
  • Clean Background  -  Background  checks run for all teachers: criminal, drug, and sexual offender.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT WILL MY DUTIES BE?
We have a   full time front desk staff that takes care of cleaning, scheduling, cancellations, and payments. All you  are responsible for is what you love - teaching and attending recitals.  Best of all your lessons will never be interpreted by phone calls!

HOW MUCH CONTROL DO I HAVE OVER THE CURRICULUM?
You create a custom   curriculum for   the students assigned to you. We will  stock method  books  and materials you suggest. You must  use at least one  standard method    book.

WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC CAN I TEACH?
You teach the styles  of music the student is interested in. We will assign  you students that fit  your preferred   styles.

WHAT DAYS AND TIMES WILL I BE TEACHING?
The school offers lessons six days a week from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.    You submit a  list of days and times  that you would like to teach.   We will fill those over time.   There is no minimum or maximum number of hours, and you can add  extra time or days down the road. You must be consistently available for the days and hours you select.

ARE THERE BUSY AND SLOW TIMES?
We are a year round school with minimal summer withdrawals.  This enables a more stable income year round. The majority of our students are grade school aged,  so weekdays 3:00 pm to 7:00 P.M. are the prime lesson times, as well as Saturdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

CAN I HAVE A FULL TIME JOB, AND TEACH PART TIME?
Yes.   Most of our teachers   have jobs   elsewhere.   Out faculty  is made up of  public school teachers, church musicians and directors,  and professional musicians playing in the symphony or  local bands.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A STUDENT MISSES A LESSON?
You get paid for all scheduled lessons, even early cancels and no shows! We'll talk about our exciting make up lesson program.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM SICK or ON VACATION?
We will  cover your missed lessons with a qualified substitute teacher.
